Internet Explorer 7 Adds Useful Features
A Better Browser
Microsoft overhauled its Internet Explorer
browser, borrowing heavily from features first introduced in
the Firefox Browser. Now included are
 |
Popup
Blocking: Stop annoying popup ads in their
tracks with IE7’s built in popup blocker.
|
 |
Tabbed
Browsing View more than one web page in a single window
with this time saving feature. Open links in the
background so that they’re ready for viewing when
you’re ready to read them.
|
 |
Security
Built with your security in mind, IE7 helps protect your
computer from malicious spyware by not loading
harmful ActiveX controls. A comprehensive set of privacy
tools keep your online activity your business.
|
 |
Smarter
Search Search is built right into
the toolbar, and there is a plethora of search sites that
can be added to the tool bar.
|
 |
Live

latest news headlines and read updates to your favorite
sites that are syndicated.
|
Conclusion
The
IE7 browser is a big step forward. While Firefox users
may still prefer the features in Firefox, IE7 is now
comparable in most respects and removes much of the reason
to switch. While it doesn't leap-frog over Firefox, it
has at least achieved relative parity, and is generally more
compatible with most websites.
Download
Windows users with auto update turned on will automatically
receive the upgrade to IE7. One can also download it
directly from Microsoft
