Some of the staff of this prominent Law Firm were receiving several hundred SPAM email messages per day.  The real email was getting buried in this onslaught.

BOC implemented the SPAM filter by SurfControl and SPAM was immediately reduced by over 95%.  

Easy Monitoring and BOC Customization

The consequence of such aggressive filtering is the increased chance of "false positives" where good mail gets trapped in the filter.  BOC trained administrative staff to monitor the email filter on a daily basis and release email that was inappropriately withheld.  By analyzing these false positives, BOC was able to construct custom filtering rules which took into account the nature of the firm's practice and the typical content of email messages. 

Users No Longer Spend Monday Morning Deleting

The filter has been so effective that user's in-boxes rarely receive junk email and false-positives are minimal. Monday mornings are no longer spent deleting hundreds of SPAM messages accumulated over the weekend.
