CITRIX CLIENT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Once you
have downloaded and installed the Citrix client software, open Citrix
neighborhood and look for the Add ICA
Connection icon.
If you
only see the Application Set Manager icon, double click on that and then you
should see the Custom ICA Connections icon.
Open
that one in turn, and you'll see the Add ICA connection icon. Now open it. For
the first screen, select Local Area Network
if you have a broadband connection such as a DSL line or a cable modem. If you
use dial-up service, such as AOL, then select Dial up
networking, and click NEXT.
In the
next window, type a description into the first line - such as "My
Office", leave the middle line as it is, and in the bottom line enter the
domain access name e.g. remote.mycompany.com.
Ask you IT administrator if you don't know what to put it here. Make sure the
radio button is set to Server. Click NEXT.
Accept
the default encryption level in the next window and click NEXT.
The next
window asks for logon information. You can fill all this out if you want to -
its your user name, password (best to leave this blank for security reasons) and
the domain name (the office domain name). Click NEXT.
Uncheck
the default check boxes and select High
Color, and try 800-600 resolution
or higher. Click NEXT.
Leave
the next screen blank. Click NEXT and FINISH.
That
should do it. You'll now see an icon for "My Office" remote access.
You can copy this to your desktop for easy access. When you open it your
computer will initiate a remote session as if you're in the office.
